To use this feature, WhatsApp is imposing certain requirements. First of all, you must maintain the video (or camera, in this case) on throughout the call; using WhatsApp for voice calls alone will not work. We hope that the official release of this feature, which WhatsApp is currently testing exclusively for iPhone users, won't be too far off. We still don't know if or when WhatsApp will launch this screen-sharing feature for Android users, but given that millions of Android users use the app, we anticipate developments to proceed more quickly. In the upcoming weeks, we should hear more about this.
